David Owst’s working model of a crawling Centipede. Diven by a single powerfull motor which operated the 24 legs, made from 24 knitting needles, in such a way that they produced a wave motion enabling the model to move in such a way it mimicked accurately the crawling action of a centipede. The model also featured a pair of cam operated jaws complete with ‘biting things’. (23/10/2021)
