Darlington Exhibition October 2017 - Ian Mordue's model of a Sennebogen Material Handler built in red and zinc. Typically found in scrapyards or somewhere similar, the model has a six jaw grab driven by a mini geared small motor concealed within a sleeve piece which drives a screwed rod which operates the jaws. The jaw sits on the end of a counterweighted jib which is operated by the actions of screwed rods for the purpose of extending and luffing, an additional geared motor operates the slewing. Ian chose to mount his version on tracks however other options are available including having it mounted on either wheels or rails. (28/10/2017)
