Darlington Exhibition October 2015 - Barry Richardson's model of a Hungarian Steam Engine. The unusual feature of this engine is that the twin flywheels revolve in opposite directions and perpendicular to the piston rods and cylinders, unlike most steam engines in t=which the cylinder, cranks and flywheels are all on the same shaft. Darlington Exhibition October 2015 - Paul Robertshaw had a collection of eight beam engines all constructed to the same design and neatly presented on a purpose made stand. The purpose behind this display was to illustrate the various colour schemes Meccano have produced over the years, ranging from the early nickel period right through to the later French Blue / Yellow / Zinc.
