Billingham Spring Exhibition 1986 - Jim Berrie's 'Irn-Bru Factory' or Automatic Canning Plant with empty soft drink tins on rope conveyor, also moving laterally and upright along belting, in addition to a magnetic pick-up feed, even the chimney 'smoke' was made to move in realistic fashion from twin chimneys on this 1.5m long model. Billingham Spring Exhibition 1986 - Close up of Bryan Reay's French Knitting Machine of over 1m height produced 5' IO" (nearly 2m) during the day, via four needles passing through two Socket couplings with triple cam operated movement to centre feed, with moving ball-race head, and tensioning device over 2 x 6" pulleys, the machine was fascinating and mains motor driven.
